  • There have been some questions from community members regarding Colonel Town’s plans for
addressing the impact of Coronavirus on the programs and activities that we run. Colonel Town
Recreation is a department within the Town of Lancaster. The Town of Lancaster’s Emergency
Management Team is working collaboratively with neighboring public health agencies and
schools to develop public health and safety plans.
With that being said, Colonel Town Recreation will follow the decisions outlined by our local school
districts and The Town of Lancaster regarding cancellations and closures and will be sure to
communicate such decisions in a timely manner via direct email, and on our Facebook page.
Colonel Town uses hospital grade disinfectants throughout the building, including on the many balls
and equipment that gets used by the community. Increased attention is being given to high traffic
areas, such as the entryway and bathrooms. While we work proactively to keep the recreation
department as safe and clean as possible, we ask that community members use their discretion
when attending events and activities at Colonel Town, and perform responsible health practices
    including, but not limited to:
    ? social distancing,
? hand hygiene i.e. washing hands upon entering the building with warm water and soap
    for at least 20 seconds,
? using our hand sanitizer stations set up near the water fountain in the gym and in our
    entryway
? not attending activities and programs in the public if you are not feeling well
At this time, our Spring programs and activities will run as scheduled. We will continue to monitor the
situation on a consistent basis. The safety and health of the community members who use Colonel
    Town is a top priority.
Thank you so much for your support, understanding and patience in the coming days as we learn
more about how our Spring programs will be impacted.
