Safe Haven Program, Summer

Safe Haven is a recreation program for children ages 5-12. Fun activities will be planned each week to provide children with opportunities to learn and enjoy themselves.



We will be scheduling weekly visits to the library in addition to a variety of other local trips.

Each week our crafts and activities will be geared toward the weekly theme.

General Information
  • Staff members walk children to other programs in which they’re registered (i.e. swim lessons, gymnastics camp, etc.)
  • Children will go to the pool every afternoon, weather permitting.
  • Children are divided into different age groups: entering grades K-3 (yellow group), grades 4-6 (orange group).
  • “Camper of the Day” will be awarded at the end of the day for each age group.
  • Children may bring toys and books from home. Please be sure they’re labeled. Colonel Town is not responsible for loss or damage to items brought from home.
  • A cold lunch and two snacks must be provided for children each day.
  • All items (except the lunch box) must fit in the child's backpack.
  • Each child needs sandals, a bathing suit and a towel.
  • All state billing for parents who receive subsidized tuition is completed electronically.

  • WEEKLY FULL-TIME RATES:
    1 Child: $ 98, 2 Children: $ 179, 3 Children: $ 245
  • DAILY PART-TIME RATES:
    Half Day (4 hrs Max.) 1 Child: $ 15, 2 Children $ 25, 3 Children $ 33
    Full Day: 1 Child: $ 25, 2 Children: $ 45, 3 Children $ 62
